A gallon is 231 cubic inches and there are 1728 cubic inches in a cubic foot. One bushel is approximately 1.25 cubic feet. Convert 55 gallons to cubic feet and then divide by 1.25. Or just use the fact that there are 7.48 gallons per cubic foot. Google knows this stuff.
