| Was looking to upgrade one of my White 140's to a larger tractor. Right now my big tractor is a 2008 MF 8480, 3500 hrs, with the 8.4L Sisu and cvt. Figured I would be getting into a 8000 series White with 4000ish hours for mid $60K. Ended up picking up a 2008 Challenger 665B from Auctiontime somewhere in the $50k area with 3100 hrs. It gives me room to have some work done to it, and I am sure it will need it. The Sisu/cvt models are out there. It depends on how picky you are and what you are looking for. A local dealer has a '05 MF 8480 that has the dyna step (cvt with software programmed as a powershift) that has been on the lot since 2012. He started out a $113,000 when I was looking in 2012 for an 8480. Still has it and I know that it nosaled on an auction earlier this month. I think he had $69K on it. When he found out I was looking for another big tractor he said not to let he price bother me, he was willing to deal. If grain/cattle prices don't turn around a little I don't think you will have issues finding what YOU want for the $ YOU want if you are reasonable and willing to travel.
Edited to add, I have a Trimble EZ Pilot on my 140's, 6144, and have had it on my 8480. Now have auto pilot on the 8480.
