IIRC the 96 and 97 Allis had the Detroit? If we got one of that vintage it would be the White, as we are familar with the 8.3 Cummins.  We want to stay with a true large frame to handle the weight of saddle tanks and the planter or whatever is hooked to the 3pt.  I dont think the 6000 series would have quite enough lift for a planter with both the seed boxes and insecticide boxes full, it would probably be right at the max (tractordata lists it at 9900 lbs) I would think. TD lists the 8000 at 14000.


From your list I think that the DT 160-225 are probably our best bet so far.
