Lat time I was in Luverne it was $1.89 for E-85; $1.79 for E-10 87 octane. Not going to sell much E-85 with a price like that....
Local Cenex station has E85 pumps at the main station and HAD one in the satellite station in another town about 12 mile distance. They converted the satellite stations E85 pump to premium, as the manager said E85 sales at that pump were near 0. She said the E85 pump will remain at the home station as the board members want it.
It's very hard for E85 to compete at these low gas prices. $4 gas would turn that around very quickly. |
