Yeah, she's got the same information I was trying to convey, but there's so much hyperbole thrown in. How is someone who isn't already fairly familiar with soil biology and plant life to sort through it?
And what is her answer for winkill in the anhydrous thread? He did everything right, he's got a 4 inch rye cover, no fall applied fertilizer, and he's still got 9 ppm nitrate in the tile water. The best soil biology isn't going to eliminate nutrient leaching, it makes sure that some occurs. When the microbes are extracting nutrients, living and dying at a furious pace then there are going to be more biologically active nutrients in the soil solution, not less. There's no easy answer.
Thanks for posting it tho. It's a good workout video, except that I'm at risk of breaking the elliptical when she really goes way out there. | |
