Central IA | Don't forget, the strip till rig is also your chisel and FC. You're applying fert plus doing whatever tillage you may otherwise be doing. One pass with a striptill rig and you're ready for corn on corn. It takes a lot more hp and fuel amd time and emissions to spread fert, then chisel, then FC (and maybe a knock down pass first). Plus if you contour you're building terraces on 30" centers. We went from full width tillage to striptill for corn and haven't looked back. Also I really hope you don't think I pick on you.
