Jeff's display is great, but still does solve the fact that for every bushel you haul off you remove fertility with it. I just can't get past that for long term outlook.

Focus on the concrete things, how much will you save in spreading and wholesale fertilizer banding in the strip? Friend really likes dry in the strip for corn and soybeans, more so for COC but no hard facts. For low testing year to year cash rent it's best system. We have almost all long term owned, share crop, or cash rent ground. Dry equipment can pay pretty well, but it's also not cheap and so far have been better places to put that money. We strip till 2/3 corn, 1/3 soybeans here in northern Illinois, coop broadcast all our dry (we use quite a bit), where are you Nate?

Im in eastern ne. Only about half my ground would be fit for strip till but more just questions over how strip till can defeat things such as applying way less than removal rates.
