NW KS/ SC ID | It is an earlier one, and frankly the new parts are worth close to, or more than, the disc itself.
If he was going to scrap it, and he is a good friend and could use the money, IMO the magic number of 1,000 might be right. I would try for 250 to 750 at an auction, especially if it was wide spaced and we could junk it for the wide spools, but maybe the 1000 would make him feel all warm and fuzzy and may benefit you in the end. (Rent his ground? :) )
