If the disk has been stored outdoors for 6 years, you probably have some corrosion on the inner race or seal seat on the gang bearings. When you start using this disk, the corroded inner race could quickly wear the bearing seals. I think you can figure out the rest of this story.

The wings have a single tire. How hard would it be to add a second tire on the wings? I think dual tires on the wings would be nice in sandy soil. Also, the linkage between the center and wing rockshafts can be hard to adjust and a real wear point. The threaded rod on the rockshaft connecting linkage must turn in the connecting sleeve when the wings fold and unfold. If this linkage is really rusted, it could break the first time you unfold the wings.

With a little cutting torch and welder work, you can adapt scraper bars and scrapers from other brands of disks. Can you find something in a salvage yard with decent scrapers, scraper bars and mounts?
