south texas | The nut from the autos will work with the manuals but it is a failure waiting to happen. The manual hub inner peice can be tricky to get axel shaft and hub splines lined up. Are u getting the inner peice started and it wont get past the snap ring slot? Is the inner peice too small? Its a dana 60 axel. We had the wire type spindle nut fail on our truck with manuals. Switched them both over to the old style 2 nut and lock ring. U will need a special socket for the 2 nut system. May need a special socket to get old wire type nuts off. There is a small half moon wire keeper holding the spindle nut on, find it before u try and remove nut. | |
