Subject: RE: Cmon Sat Edit

SE IL

"1M Minneapolis May Wheat". The M is a Roman Numeral signifying 1000. Now, we don't know if that is 1000 contracts or 1000 bushels. What were the contract sizes in 1929? And, Mr. Sample had a stop on his trade at "$1.19 3/4 taking 1c leeway from where your margins exhaust." I tend to agree that this could just be an example used as a teaching aid since it was found in a school. Was Lewis an actual brokerage firm back then?

Edit add: I'm not sure what the position limits were back then, but today the spec limit is 12,000 contracts. Maybe you should call them and get some background to see if you have a real ticket or an example. Would be good to know.
