niobrara nebraska | I always thought it was for the irrigation and the ability to better control rainfall in Nebraska. We also typically can get our crops in to go corn. WE are the cornhusker state! I think the shift in prices lately have to do with ethanol and cattle as well. Known markets for grain close. There has been a lot of grain handling buildup by commercials, feedyards, and ethanol along highway 20 in the last ten years land competition has shown it. Heck we have guys coming in from 60-90 miles away to farm 120 aph corn ground.........Why would you go that far away to make that little unless things are too tough in your neighborhood? | |
