The whole transferring account balances from a bank operating note to a FSA loan is a little like the credit card balance transfers. It will cost less in interest if you decide to wait. Minimum price (sell physical, buy a call or do a spread) sounded good to me last fall so that's what I did. We paid our note down to 'close enough' (I hope) and are moving forward. I'm hoping for some sort of bump up to make my spread worth something - when everything is completely bearish the market has to go up right?
I had some serious concerns about the price declines and I needed to get the previous year's price structure behind me. The market could care less about how much i have borrowed or what my break even is. We hope to work on rents and seed this winter, but we'll see.
Since I'm almost always wrong, we will hit $4 (cash) in February. | |
