Menomonie Wi | I was thinking of letting some corn go tommorrow, basis is decent -38 typically -50 to -60. Then I would put a order in to buy July 16 futures when it hits $3.50. Dont see basis improving much especially if price of corn goes up, plenty of corn in the area. Is this consider a hedge or a speclative move? Is it a good idea? End result is i would like to add $.20 onto the price of cash corn, also this corn is in commercial storage.
