Subject: RE: RFS & Subsidie ?

Central North Carolina

Oh  yea market driven.

So we have the old long time subsidies
Then we have the ethanol mandate with initially a blenders tax credit
Then we have have quota limits on sugar, which increase the need for corn sugar.
Then we have import limits on sugar cane ethanol more efficiently made than with corn.
Crop insurance subsidies, CPR,easy credit, etc. etc.

Market driven my arse.

Whats next keys to the banks for farmers.

"With today's final rule, and as Congress intended, EPA is establishing volumes that go beyond historic levels and grow the amount of biofuel in the market over time," Janet McCabe, acting assistant administrator for the agency's Office of Air and Radiation, said in a call with reporters. "Our standards provide for ambitious, achievable growth."

Congress established the Renewable Fuel Standard in 2005 and expanded it two years later. Seen as a way to both reduce U.S. dependence on foreign oil and rein in the nation's heat-trapping carbon emissions by reducing the burning of fossil fuels, it's since become hugely contentious
