cropsey, il 61731 | Nope. You are right it doesn't pay public officials (and similar) as much as they think they want. I don't get you guys thinking somehow confiscating more money from folks and having the government use/waste the money is a good thing? The government by design is inefficient - pretty much prevents the whole revolution thing. To think grabbing folks' money is better than keeping it in the economy is insane (and quite frankly evil). Just because the government has done the equivalent of a 100 acre farmer buying a JD S690 combine and finding it doesn't work financially, doesn't mean somehow it works for the government.
The evidence, reality, etc. is completely clear that it does work and works for a long time (even through socialist administrations). Naturally if what you measure has nothing to do with the real economy, maybe you get a different answer. Still wrong btw. | |
