Subject: RE: ethanol and the corn and cattle markets

west central MN

The RFS is a mandate to get cleaner fuel and less pollution.  It is no different then not letting the oil companies sell gas with lead in it or diesel fuel with sulfur in it. It is not a mandate to use corn so that corn farmers can get higher prices for their corn. Corn farmers should be supportive of anything that increases demand of our products just like livestock producers should support anything that will increase demand for their livestock. As a corn farmer I am also in favor of anything that will increase demand for any livestock products along with increasing demand for all corn products.
