It can really make a difference if enough people call in. I was in a representatives office one time when the representative asked his clerk what the call in numbers where on a certain issue. The calls were around 8 in favor and 3 opposed. A few calls can really make a difference. Everyone seems to think they don't listen to their constituents but they all want to get reelected so they pay more attention to what the people want then most guys think.
