Don't think there is any secret ingrediant to concrete. I think it mostly comes down to the Irish mob owns 99% of gravel pits in the world as well as manufactures most of the equipment. Look into oldcastle they own almost everything out west. If any gravel pits get going and prove to be any sort of competition they just buy them out for ridiculous money.
