My daughter

has a older house that has all cast iron drain pipe. Her tub drain is slow. I worked on it yesterday and I did not help it much.I tried plunging it but it was hard to seal the overflow drain up on the wall of the tub to do any good.I also tried a couple of gallons of boiling water and that did not help either. Are they any products left on the market to help get the inside build up out?It is a 2" with a trap and then it runs about 7' to the main cast iron trunk line.Would it be worth the trouble to change it out to PVC?

There a key word, right there = Does she have long hair?

Did you remove the drain screen, in the tub, and pull out the big, long hair ball, under the screen? (I grew up with 4 sisters)

+1 On the hair, removing the screen. etc.
