Not to take away from the brilliance of that kid, but, I smile when he talks about his "innovation" of technology from the 1960's. LOL

 He could work for John Deere... {grin}.

 

Edit to add:  .....and his small nuclear reactor units are not a new idea either. I remember finding data or research on them for a college report I did on nuclear energy back in the early '90's. And, I know I have seen other ideas like each house or town having a self-contained unit. I think GE was looking into this, and I have seen articles on this subject in Popular Mechanics and/or Popular Science magazines over the years.

....But hey......if this kid can get the ball rolling, I am all for it. Having small self-contained units makes a lot of sense to me. It sure would help our National Security by not solely depending on the grid.
