| Does it have fertilizer on it? If not, it would be very likely "here" that the planter would not be heavy enough to keep weight on the gauge wheels to maintain a consistent seed depth in some notill situations.
The down pressure springs just transfer weight from the toolbar to the row units. If there is not enough weight on the toolbar to keep the row units in the ground, the amount of down pressure springs is kind of irrelavant. | |
