Maybe 1 1/4". Dpends on which opener. Some of the notches are wore a bit, and the square dealy where the depth control doohicky hooks together has some where on some of the openers. The disks seem to be getting sharper as I go. I think the soil in WI where the drill came from may have been more abrasive to the disks or something.
