ECIL | I find it easier to give gifts than receive them too. I'm not much for Christmas lists either, to me they take sentiment and thoughtfulness away. My wife gave me a list for a couple years and was shocked when I refused to look at them. If I'm asked what I want for Christmas or special occasion I too reply "nothing". If someone wants to give me a gift, having it come from a list takes a lot of fun and meaning out of it.
I'm not much for cards either. To me I'm buying someone else's thoughts.
