I got a Miler Bobcat with 10,000 watt generator runs 5 horse 110 volt compressor fine.  When I got the Bobcat, I could have bought a 6500 watt Honda for $25XX.  The Bobcat cost $35XX with 3500 more watts and a welder.  With the welder, I seem to use it enough to keep good fuel in it and big enough generator to hook up to house.  We have 2 other Honda generators around here and whenever they are needed, they have to be repaired first.
