South Central MN		I'm pretty sure I have that tablesaw you are taking about. The mechanism isn't a "first step on =up, second step on =down". It is just an over center cam. The first step down on the pedal lifts the saw onto the casters, and then you have to lift under the pedal with your toe to drop the saw back down.

I could probably take pics of it when I get back home this weekend.
