It's a misperception that you can make ethanol out of junk.. especially Moldy junk that would ruin the conversion efficiencies at the plant.. the LAST THING you want in your plant is Mold. It would make more sense to try to feed what you could.. blend off.. whatever.. you'll have to watch the aflo levels etc.. and then.. burn or spread out on the ground the rest of it. We have payloaders and semi's over here.. a year or two ago someone posted a picture of a ground pile put up wet in Iowa.. like 18 to 20%.. it was only there a couple weeks yet the core had already turned black.. this.. from my understanding.. is what some of China is dealing with.. At that point.. maybe you can burn it... idk...?? but it's feed value is going to be diminished.. if you can even do it...??? but you SURE can NOT use it for ethanol. the other grain in storage that is good.. maybe they could adopt our policy of regulating surpluses through ethanol.. but it ideally should be your best grain that you process.. like we do here. and/or.. they could just buy the ethanol from us to supplement their needs... which would be the cheapest solution. Cheers. |
