Greensburg IN | Scott we are in Greensburg so probably not to far from you. What we have been doing for four years now in the fall is to plant the cc right behind the combine with some sort of drill or air seeder then wait a few weeks till it cools down and then apply the hog manure. We did plant some cc this summer and then apply manure 4 days later, we did not get a very good stand because I think we burned the seedlings when they were germinating. Our policy is to get the cc planted ASAP then we can do whatever else we need to do later but get the crop growing now. Planted a six way mix this fall for 13.12$ per acre for seed cost so I think what you are doing is great, you might be able to add species and really get some extra soil activity going for not much money. Your cover looks great by the way. Done much digging with a shovel to see all the soil activity? Keep up the good work
