In 2013 grain prices crashed and land prices increased. In 2014 land continued to fall and land held steady for 2 more years. Seems to be different this time around, maybe interest rates have something to do with that.....Everyone figures 8 dollar corn took land to all-time highs, but maybe failed government policies had something to do with it also.
Land here in Iowa has backed off quite a bit since 2013, about 20% off the peak on high quality ground, probably more on low quality ground.
