Your friends are doing it wrong. Bins are to capture basis and carry, not to store and hope. Our harvest basis was around -.45, today we are hauling corn in for closer to -.20. Made 25 cents in about a months worth of storage on these bushels.
You're right.. One guy's strategy is...."My Dad always told me to store. You'll get more the following spring/summer." Wonder how many guys are on that same page? |
