Central Missouri | so many people use their bins to try and avoid income tax and to speculate on price. If the price speculation works you cant avoid taxes. Each day that goes by gets us one day closer to bins being a good speculative tool but in a downmtrend it usually doesn't work. One friend commented to me in 2014 that they were experts at turning 5.50 dollar corn into 4.50 corn.
Some of you guys out east can get historicalloy good corn basis. 30 over in spots. Move the corn on a basis contract. Have them write it against the May. 30 over dec is like 17 over may. You will have from now til may 1 to price it. For that matter do it over the July. Just make sure the company you do it with doesn't go broke in the mean time.
