Maybe if the makers of DDT would have investigated more we wouldn't have had to gone thru all that mess, "they" said DDT was safe too! Perhaps you need to research DDT a little more than reading Silent Spring. Subsequent studies have shown that most of the claims made in the book and by activists at that time were untrue.
