Missouri

Throwing grain out the back is the #1 concern with bin storage a close second.

I don't mind selling water hemp seed and the local grain sampling is erratic enough it's nearly impossible to predict. Making fm bets with the truck driver is common occurrence and it's not uncommon for the very worst load out of the core to come back with the cleanest sample while the clean grain from the bin comes back with a dock.

I end up buying some corn back from the local elevators from time to time and can't believe how dirty it is compared to what gets hauled in. I blame all the dust on the legs and handling, but you'd think every single corn field in the area has a burr problem with as many that end up in the feed buckets. If that's what they're sending on down the pipe, my clean drop in the bucket makes no difference.
