Subject: RE: corn residue breadown myths

Between Omaha and Des Moines, 7 miles South of I80

I'm not so sure about this test:

 Quote: {in which specific amounts of corn residue were weighed and placed in nylon mesh bags and left in the field immediately after harvest for decomposition evaluation.}

Didn't they just create a barrier, using that nylon mesh bag, between the soil and the corn stalks/residue(inside the bag)?

 Wouldn't that alter the actual environment, compared to real life?
