The crack about living in Canada was uncalled for.
It wasn't a crack about Canada. Same applies to the small towns in the Dakotas and other northern states where it gets bitter cold half the year and there just isn't a lot going on aside from farming. It's just a fact that there isn't much to draw many people to those places, and the winters give a lot of reason for folks to move away.
