North Dakota | I think the point being made is being missed a bit. If someone has a great year and wants to go on a vacation, more power to them, I'm glad they had a good year. My point was from the agronomy side. Use Winfield for example, why do we as an industry think its such a great deal to send people all over the country. There are some out there that are coming off a terrible year on the farm side yet the trip is booked to a tropical destination through Winfield. Agriculture has changed drastically from the days of $7 corn, it just seems to me that the retail side of ag is in full denial of what has happened and will not cut any margin or any perk. 10 years ago those things did not even exist. With the refusal to cut margins and perks, why do we think the citizens of this country would have any sympathy or want to continue government support of crop insurance? | |
