That article got me thinking about the volume of all those ships and storage. Over ALL HISTORY we have taken 1 trillion barrels of oil out of the ground. All of this oil would sit in a lake 6 miles by 6 miles by a little more than a mile deep. It is equivilent to the amount of water that flows over Niagra Falls in a month.
