SW Iowa | I've had those thoughts plenty of times, why public taxpayer money goes out to pay crop insurance premiums, and yet gives nothing to the avg. taxpayers homeowner's or automobile owners liability policy. Or why public money goes out in large amounts to grain farmers in the ARC program...And what about the 9 mo gov grain loan programs? What other taxpaying citizen in America gets a 9 mo gov loan at rock bottom interest...And what ab out CRP?? What a taxpayer giveaway!
Just so many things Uncle Sugar gives us farmers, that no one else gets, I can understand the backlash from the non farming taxpayers. All I can say is thank God the taxpayers are in a giving mood. I am taking my handouts in full, and looking for more all the time. After all I want to trade diesel pick-ups on someone else's dime. | |
