Ok I'm putting 8 g of my calf check in a safe spot away from me. You guys tell me when to protect them.
you need to stay on top of it-maybe spend 5-10 minutes a day to see where the market is going-I like to hedge cattle-as anything can happen-usually try to set aside 1-2% of the value of your animal to buy some protection
you could hedge using fat cattle options or directly on the board-lots of different brokers out there-chip flory is a good one-few others-not every broker is rite-and not every farmer is rite
