Most other industries can see bad times coming and usually take measures that we don't. They cut production, lay people off, shut down under producing plants, and maybe even have a change in top management. We as an industry have never been able to do that, and probably never will.


My father would tell you that a farm cannot be run like a factory you only get one shot per year at it, and not a very long shot either. I do factory work and can tell you that they can start and stop the chit anytime they want, cant do that with animals or crops. They have alot more control on things than a farmer does.
