| +1,000 tara, I don't understand the mentality that you can hold an elevator hostage by not selling cash grain to them. They are holding you hostage the minute you open those traps above their grate. I'm not saying elevators are bad either, they have to make money and storage is a great way to do it. In our part of the world if I were an elevator owner I would rather have you hold grain for months, allows me to take advantage of basis carry which out here is very typical and very rarely do they adjust the basis up on what they pay the farmer. | |
