Jesup, IA | Often said on NAT is that "the market does not owe anybody the cost of production". Agreed. But crop prices are so far below the cost of production, that it will effect the future supply.
Lots of marginal acres work with $5, $6 & $7 corn. $4 corn allows the status quo. But $3 corn doesn't increase acres, fertilizer applications, fungicide treatments, etc. Anywhere. | |
