It looks "good" owning a farm in or on the edge of town, but it's a tricky situation. Between possible assessments and "fees" it is very possible to get taxed out of your property. The worst part would be dealing with the politicians and developers. It is a game filled with big personalities that are full of dishonesty and greed. For my money, I would buy the best farm I could 10 miles out of town before I swung my bat at that one.
