5425 and 5525 is a different frame and a 4 cylinder vs 5cylinder engine. Not the same machine.
"Complaints about the seat getting you wet? Really?? Let's see...if it sets outside in the rain/dew, what do you expect? Put it in the shed!"
I bought a straddle mount to do maple syrup. You have to empty the buckets of SAP regardless of the weather. I wish I could just put it in the shed, but a flip up seat would be nice. Firewood and cleaning hedgerows gets done in the snow (we already had 2 inches) tend to get on and off the machine often in that job,. I wish I could just put a shed over everything for that job as well. Foolish to run a cab in the forest.
For all my complaints, it is a handy machine. I wonder if the 3x3 transmission without the power reverse would solve the expensive failings. I'm mostly mad that I drank the green kool aid. It is not the superior product I was lead to believe.
I know I don't have the same model, FWIW I use mine in the woods to haul out firewood using a winch mounted on the 3-point. I did price out new which was over my budget. Come to think of it I drove a new 5325 on the dealer lot. I hated it. There was no way it would have worked out for me. I probably would be just as upset as you are. |
