If the price is reasonable, go for it. Litter, and some other manures really, have some magic dust in them that no matter how much you spend on commercials, you can never replicate. Use high rates and you can transform the soil.

This is coming from someone who has spread tens of thousands of tons of the stuff on our farm over the years.
