Ontario's middle east | Good question, Kevin. I think the crux of that question is, "Is the farmer gonna start pulling some some some slide gates soon?" I wish I new that! Those spreads have come in because we have lacked a natural seller. A futures rally that would incentivize flat price players is not likely to bring bear spreading so even though I believe the crop size warrants bigger carry, I doubt we see it.That is only part of the picture. The market wants crop now, so why pay someone to store it, seems to be the order of business at the moment. If those spreads keep coming in they are going to quench basis as well because commercials can unwinding spreads and getting paid storage for grain they didn't have to store gives them another evil merchandiser badge. | |
