I have done the same thing you are doing to a Case IH JX80 which is a very similar tractor. I assume you removed the bolts that hold the lights on the back? The weatherstrip around the outside will glue itself to the roof. Try taking a screwdriver or something and go around the edge of the cab to release the rubber from the roof.
