I don't know this for a fact but I suspect the reason they went all non smoking in restaurants and bars is because of employee exposure. It seems like I remember some study being done about the health of employees at smoking establishments. Of course the kicker there is many of the employees already smoked anyway. I didn't have a real problem with there being a smoking section but am not sad they are gone either.
