You and I have been at this site for a long time, I have a lot of respect for you but... I think somehow talking about this issue is therapeutic. As for myself, I try to get on most of these threads to warn people and share my experience.

We cant know what motivates someone to farm half the county and we certainly will never understand how they finance it. My opinion is that if the landowner only is interested in the money don't even try to compete. Let the land go before it destroys the rest of your farm or your personal life.

As for when are there enough of these threads, I bet you could make a room for this topic alone. My guess is it would be the most active as well.
