My mother who is 84 has it. Probably for 12 years. They did a procedure on her, stopped her heart, restarted it, was good for 7 years. It came back, doctor thought maybe at her age they should not restart her heart. Is controlled by medication. She leads a normal life for an 84 year old woman.
